Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with management of social media calendar for Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, LinkedIn) Responsibilities related to the social media calendar will include: outline creation, copywriting, coordination of graphics/assets, hashtag research, scheduling and posting
- Support with creation and development of graphics, light editing of video/photo content
- Community management of Social Media Accounts including: responding to DMs, prospect outreach, engaging with followers, creating daily stories
- Support with creating email marketing campaigns, funnels and newsletters
- Supporting with building influencer program and reaching out to potential ambassadors, liaising and managing relationships
- Support with building strategic partners
- Assist with development of e-commerce store, design and outline, Shopify and
- Provide support in other areas of media marketing, PPC, email marketing, SEO, Keyword search, Google Analytics and paid social media
Skills Required:
- Knowledgeable of the e-commerce space including marketing strategies, consumer research, industry trends and best practices
- Previous experience with social media marketing is a must
- Strong leadership skills and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong organization skills
- Strong creativity and design skills
- Advanced knowledge in google drive, Microsoft work, excel and powerpoint
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, e-commerce business is considered an asset
- Graphic Design and website development skills considered an asset
- Experience with video editing including on socials (adding captions in with Reels and other videos)
- Experience using Canva, an Email marketing tool (Klaviyo) is considered an asset
- Beginner knowledge of email marketing, creating funnels, generating leads
Learning Outcomes:
- Strong understanding of overseeing and managing multiple social media accounts for a business
- Strong understanding of email marketing, how to create campaigns, how to create funnels and automate marketing
- Administrative Tasks in running a small business
- Strong understanding of how to build an ecommerce business
- Working with multiple team members remotely to get projects and tasks done
Other Requirements:
- Enrolled in a full or part-time program at a Canadian accredited post-secondary institution, during the work placement period
- A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have official refugee status (International student or students with work permits are ineligible).
- This is a hybrid position with in person work days once a week in Toronto. Must have access to wifi, their own computer and smartphone
- Must be available 10 am - 4 pm Monday - Friday with flexible hours outside of those to manage social media and urgent requests
- This position requires someone who is a strong self starter and learns quickly
