Mave & Chez is looking for a driven full-time Marketing Manager to add to our small-but-mighty team. Candidates should be self-starters with 5+ years of marketing experience who are excited about tackling the ever-changing e-commerce marketing environment at a quickly growing startup. The ideal candidate for this role balances leadership and delegation with ego-less execution to ensure KPIs and deadlines are met. They naturally balance creative planning and content ideating with growth strategy and results tracking. This candidate will be a team leader responsible for managing a small team of contractors and interns as well as our Social Media contributors to ensure all creative across social and marketing platforms are aesthetically on-brand and strategically contributing to growing Mave & Chez’s mission and revenue goals. 


  • Email marketing - funnels, bi-weekly blasts, campaign emails
    • Segmented customer journeys 
    • Overall management, monitoring and optimization of all email marketing 
    • Implementing strategies to grow email list 
    • Work with graphics team to design and create all email marketing
  • SMS marketing 
    • exclusive offers, reviews, new products and colours, back in stock, celeb/feature shout outs 
  • Social Media
    • Content strategy for all platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok
    • Outline creation and work with social media coordinator to create all content, engagement and day-to-day support
    • Working closely with our graphic designer to ideate concepts
  • Analytics
    • Analyze all data and provide a bi-weekly report of overall learnings, findings and shifting marketing strategies based on performance 
  • Ads (goal of hiring someone Q3/Q4) 
    • Creating ad copy and ideas for all campaigns
    • Managing ads
    • Collecting data from ads and creating reports
  • Marketing admin
    • Overseeing overall marketing strategy and workback and adjusting 
    • maintaining a marketing calendar
    • Building out creative briefs for emails and all other marketing assets
    • Proofreading all marketing materials
  • Website support 
    • Overseeing website designer and ensuring website works optimally


  • Proven and best-in-class skills, education, and/or applicable certifications in Direct to Customer Marketing
  • A commitment to learn, apply, champion, and enrich Mave & Chez's Values, Business and People Leadership principles
  • The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes
  • The ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the team
  • A dedication to quality and investing in results and new business opportunities that add value at all times
  • A deep understanding and commitment for the industry in which we operate
  • 5+ years in a marketing role with specific experience in e-commerce / D2C
  • Social media marketing (particularly TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook)
  • Brainstorming creative ideas and strategy to meet business growth goals
  • 3+ year(s) of team management
  • Project management
  • Delegation and execution
  • Footwear industry familiarity is preferred but not required
  • Good understanding of e-commerce related tools such as: Klaviyo, Shopify, Canva, Google Analytics, AHREFs
  • Familiarity with the following programs is preferred but not required: Upwork, Indesign, Google Suite (GMail, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
