Here's a step-by-step guide on how to conduct a bend test for slippers:

  • Look for any visible signs of damage, such as cracks or tears, before performing the test. This will give you a baseline understanding of their condition. 

  • Hold the slipper in both hands, one hand on each end. Make sure you are gripping the sole firmly but not excessively tight.

  • Slowly and gradually bend the slipper from the toe area towards the heel, applying gentle pressure. You can use your other hand to support the upper part of the slipper if needed.

  • Observe how the slipper responds to the bending motion. Pay attention to any resistance, creaking sounds, or deformations occurring in the material. Note whether it retains its shape or if there are any signs of weakness or stress.
