We offer FREE shipping across Canada and the USA. Head to our Policies Page to learn more.

Maves are fitting slightly larger to feel more cozy and comfortable.

If you are typically a half size or have narrow foot, we highly recommend sizing down. The suede will soften a bit after wear.

If you plan to use an orthotic, no need to size up because you will be able to replace our insole with your own and the slipper will accommodate for this.

Genuine materials like naturally breathable shearling and leathers will keep your Maves fresh and for the most part clean. The insole, the part that touches your bare feet, is not only moisture-wicking but can be removed and hand-washed.

Both founders are named after their strong late grandmothers. We wanted to pay homage to Mavis (aka Mave) and Sheina (aka Shay/Chez) and all the women who came before us, who paved the way, who raised other strong women, and who gave so much to others. Also, it just so happens that Mave and Chez translates into “The Home Connoisseurs”. Coincidence? We think not.

We empower conscious consumers to buy quality over quantity. That’s why we source our materials responsibly, design classic silhouettes, and have created a washable insole to allow your slippers to last longer, stay out of the landfill.
